Professional babysitting services

Mother’s Helpers and Parents in a Pinch are babysitter referral services that provide screened, trained babysitters for temporary babysitting in an individual’s hotel room or home (or dorm room at Kirkland House!) An individual registers for a babysitter through one of these services by contacting the service directly.

Rates: $20 registration fee for the weekend; $8 travel charge per event; plus $12-$14 per hour for the babysitter, depending on the number of children, with a four-hour minimum.

Stipulation: There must be a parking spot available for the babysitter, arranged and paid for (when applicable) by the hiring individual.

Rates: $35 registration fee per event, plus $15 per hour for the babysitter.

Discount: If we can guarantee thirty registrants for a single event by May 15, the registration fee will be reduced to $25. Therefore, if a class member registers to use Parents in a Pinch, please email Carin Aquiline, caquiline@post.harvard.edu. In the email please specify the time period for which a babysitter is hired (e.g. Friday night.) If enough people register by May 15, Carin will arrange for the discount directly with Parents in a Pinch.

Harvard students available for babysitting

The reunion committee has compiled a list of Harvard undergraduate and graduate students available for babysitting during reunion weekend. Please note that no screening of these individuals has been done by the reunion committee. To hire one of these individuals, please contact her/him directly. You are responsible for arranging the terms and payment.
